The Faculty (FMDUL)

The Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Lisbon was the first Portuguese university teaching institution to teach Dentistry in Portugal.

Currently, in addition to the Integrated Master in Dental Medicine, the Master in Oral Hygiene teaches the degrees in Oral Hygiene and Dental Prosthesis and PhDs in Dental Medicine and in Oral Health Sciences and Technologies. In post-graduate education, he is responsible for organizing specialization, improvement and updating courses. Encourages and conducts scientific research in the field of oral health sciences. In its university clinics, it provides consultations and treatments in the field of dentistry and oral hygiene. It also contributes to the defense of public health and the well-being of the population in the area of oral health, collaborating with other institutions, public and private, within the scope of its competences.
